A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Welcome! I'm a proud Hoosier and seasoned artist with a passion for capturing the simplicity of the world through photography and fine art. As a godparent, kahu, and auntie, I find inspiration in the unspoken moments we rarely look at. My artistic journey has taken me to some of my favorite retreats, including Ke’ena Point, Beeline Highway, Turquoise Trail, Valles Caldera, and the Appalachian Mountains, among others.

With a professional background in digital media and web communications, I have honed my skills in public relations, content management, social media strategy, photography, videography, and painting. I currently live and work in Hawaii, contributing my expertise to the Department of Defense while advocating for veterans and promoting suicide prevention.

My career has included impactful roles with the Department of Veteran Affairs in New Mexico and Washington, D.C., as well as collaborations with organizations like Indiana Veteran Initiative (INvets), the Department of Agriculture, and the Social Security Administration. I hold a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of my military career was working directly with Iraqi juvenile children and focusing on unit retention. As an artist, my work primarily involves oil painting and photography, where I aim to capture simple moments of contentment. It is my nemesis. As someone who fought for our freedom, someday it will find me.
